Making the most of it....

My precious princess and I spent Friday night baking cakes and I thought I'd share a picture of them.
Cinder's is now away until Friday in Disneyland with her Father and I am wallowing at home in self pity and a bottle of wine.
You'd think I'd make the most of it, having some me time, but I'm a little lost to be honest. I've almost gone to desperate measures and cleaned my house on my two days off work. Phew, thank goodness that passed.
My boyfriend wasn't very keen on taking my daughters place in arguments for kids. Think that's what the manual is called. :-).
So I'm spending most my time arguing with just me.
It's not too bad, at least I'm always right.
I still have a few more sleeps before she is home though so hopefully I'll still be talking to myself by then.

Cinder's shoes....

I'm not sure if your supposed to update everyday but I'm bored.
Today is one of them days where I have all the time in the world but just don't really have a lot to do. I'm looking forward to work tomorrow.

Anyways, this morning I tried getting Cinders up for school and she wanted to go school but she didn't want to get ready for school. So back to forgetting it's a child I'm arguing with and we're both getting louder and suddenly Cinderella breaks out in song. Ha Ha, Bless her. We were almost ready when she gets her school shoe and pretends to be the glass slipper from the Cinderella story.
It went something like this

"Hi, I'm the glass slipper, I've lost my mummy who puts me on her feet. She was running silly and I fell off her feet. I'm not broken but I might of been.
Don't let that silly Prince find me. I won't fit him when he puts me on his big feet"
We were so late because I was laughing so much. I have a very funny little girl.
Well now Cinder's is at school I'm now sat at home bored. I don't even have any house work to do because I'd already done it yesterday afternoon.
Well I could tuck into that packet of biscuits in the cupbored......mmmmmmmmmm!!!!!

Time...........

As my first official blog post I thought time would be an appropriate subject.
I find it a 'crazy' concept as one day I have none of it and can't catch my breath and then another day I have too much of it and still get nothing done. It's not that I'm lazy, I just can't be bothered. :-).
My house can look like a palace (well tidy and clean) one day and the next day looks like a bomb has come through my roof and had a party in every room with all it's other bomb friends. However, the real reason for the mess comes in the form of a 2ft brunette who thinks she is Cinderella. Bless her, she has a reasonably large bedroom to play in but insists on sharing her toys equally between each room of the house.
Cinders and me are best friends but as the Mother I have to set some boundaries right??!! If the Disney character was anything like my daughter I can see why the wicked Step-Mother was so firm with messy Cinders' cleanliness.
Today is a free day for both of us, already we've 'disagreed' about food, clothes and MESS. I sometimes forget I'm talking with a 3 year old. Oh and her name...... Which isn't really Cinders. Today she said it is though.

I just realised the time and as the sun is shining I think a picnic in the garden with Cinderella will be nice. It must be post Cinderella in rags as she has said she is not going to help me do "anyfink". Ha Ha. Kids of today hey?!

the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers,
The round pegs in the square holes,
the ones who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo.
You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They push the human race forward.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, I see genius.
Because the ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do."
